Industry is one of the hidden gems in our country. After 20 years in manufacturing, we sold our business and began looking for ways to apply our experience to support businesses just like ours.
Something we learned that helped us through the rough times and supported our growth, was to have an open mind about funding. New equipment didn’t always mean a new equipment loan. Sometimes it was a sale leaseback to keep one technology in play while we added or upgraded to new equipment. Other times it was utilizing factoring or other working capital funding to keep the team paid during a slow season.
By adapting our financial strategy to the times and our current situation, we learned the risks and opportunities offered by business financing, and developed the tools to assess, identify and target the types of funding that would see us to our next goal.
